Before the Rush, Pause.
As the year draws to a close, everything seems to get louder — the plans, the expectations, the reflections.
Yet for some women, this season isn’t loud on the inside. It’s quiet, thoughtful and sometimes tender.
You may be holding questions you don’t quite have words for yet. Or noticing a subtle weariness as you look back over the year.
And that’s okay.
Before you rush into evaluating, fixing, or mapping out the next chapter, I want to offer you something gentler: a pause.
Not to judge the year. Not to summarise it. But to notice.
Notice what carried you. Notice what shifted quietly. Notice where grace met you in ways that didn’t make headlines.
Growth doesn’t always announce itself loudly. Sometimes it shows up as awareness. Sometimes as restraint. Sometimes as choosing peace where you once chose pressure.
If you’re sitting with reflection right now, you might want to ask yourself:
What feels lighter than it did at the start of the year? Where did I respond differently than I once would have? What did this year teach me about myself — even if it didn’t give me everything I wanted? There’s no rush to define the year perfectly. Some seasons make sense only in hindsight.
If you need company as you reflect, this week’s podcast episode offers space to sit with perspective rather than performance.
However you’re ending this year, may you do so with kindness toward yourself.
Yours in walking and becoming,
Teim
