Your Purpose Isn't a Lost Treasure

There was a time I was deeply concerned about my purpose, and it felt like everyone else had it figured out — except me.

It felt like some destination in my distant future. But I have come to increasingly understand that our purpose is not in the unknown future, but in the here and now.

Purpose doesn’t always announce itself loudly. Sometimes it shows up as responsibility. As faithfulness. As showing up again — imperfect, willing, learning.

It often disguises itself quietly —

in the patterns of your life,

the themes that keep resurfacing,

and the places where growth is quietly being demanded of you.

Your make-up already leaves clues to your purpose, because you were factory-fitted by the Creator, with intention and care, for it.

Purpose discovery is actually a call to growth, awareness, and a revelation of what has always been there — but never fully maximised.

It is a call to see yourself as God does, and to grow into the fullness of it while honouring it in the here and now.

Because becoming is not about reinventing yourself. It’s about aligning with who you were already designed to be.

A gentle reflection for you this week: What are you currently doing that feels “small” or “out of place” — and how might it actually be shaping you for what’s next?
