What Story Is Your Soul Rehearsing?

1 December 2025
Scripture in this reflectionRomans 12:2

Lovely new week. Welcome to December! I trust your November has been a blessed one.

There’s a reason Scripture doesn’t tell us to “try harder” or “be stronger.” It tells us to renew our minds.

Do not be conformed to this world… be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Because real transformation doesn’t begin with behaviour — it begins with the inner narrative.

The Bible shows us that change happens when we review what we’ve believed as truth and hold it up against the Truth — the timeless, unchanging, God-breathed truth. And when we sit with that truth long enough, something powerful happens:

A new pathway forms. A new way of thinking. A new internal script. A new reflex that no longer shrinks back or responds from lies.

Fear doesn’t just come from the present moment. It echoes from old conditioning, childhood voices, and the stories we quietly rehearsed for years — often without realising it.

And here’s the beautiful truth: Identity is what breaks the cycle. Because when identity takes its rightful seat, fear doesn’t disappear — it simply loses its authority.

You don’t have to shrink. You don’t have to overthink. And you’re definitely not God’s first “risky project.” He has a flawless record, and your story will not be the first to break it.

Renewal isn’t just knowing verses. It’s allowing the truth to stay long enough to rewrite the stories your mind has rehearsed for years. It’s choosing to walk away from narratives formed by fear, upbringing, or old conditioning — and embracing the identity God has spoken over you.

So if you’ve felt stuck, paralysed, or unsure of why fear has such a grip, pause and ask:

What inner narrative have I allowed to lead? And does it agree with who God says I am?

Where do I need to replace an old narrative with a new, identity-shaped one?

This week, choose to respond from who you are, not what you “feel.” Take stock. Uncover the old scripts. Silence the borrowed narratives. And step forward with the confidence of a woman who knows she’s held.

Yours in walking and becoming,

Teim

Reframed is Out!!!

When we sit with the Word, it comes alive — and the roar of the Lion of Judah begins to silence every fearful sound.

Which is why I created the Reframed Devotional.

It guides you through 13 women in Scripture, each studied over 7 days with reflections, practical applications, and space to journal. And at the end of each week, there’s a moment to pause and review the lessons from that woman in the light of your own life.

If you’ve been longing for a devotional that slows you down, grounds you, and strengthens your faith journey, this is for you.

Reframed is now available to buy and makes a beautiful gift this Christmas.
