When Milestones Become Memorial Stones

13 July 2026
Scripture in this reflectionProverbs 25:2

I hope your week has started on a beautiful note.

This week feels particularly special.

One year ago, I nervously pressed publish on the first three episodes of Reframe Her Worth. Looking back, I’m overwhelmed—not by what has been accomplished, but by God’s faithfulness through every step of the journey.

As I reflected on this past year, I found myself asking a simple question:

What has God actually been teaching me?

Milestones are memorial stones because they hold within them reminders of God's faithfulness.

But they are rarely about that one moment—the celebration.

They are also about the journey, the lessons learnt along the way, and the person you have become because of those lessons.

There were numerous small steps that led us here.

Hundreds of ordinary decisions to keep showing up, week after week.

Even on the weeks when I wasn't sure what to say.

Even when life was full.

Even when I questioned whether anyone was listening.

Looking back has reminded me that faithfulness usually looks wonderfully ordinary while we’re living it.

As I slowed down, I realised God had been teaching me all along.

One lesson kept rising to the surface.

Sometimes, God speaks in what feels like codes.

When He first gave me the vision for Reframe Her Worth, it came through a dream that I didn’t fully understand. It wasn’t that God hadn’t spoken clearly. It was that I didn’t yet have the understanding to interpret what He was saying.

So I stayed. I prayed. I journalled. I asked questions.

I sought wise counsel.

Little by little, the picture became clearer.

Not all at once.

Just enough for the next faithful step.

As I reflected on that journey, one verse came to mind:

“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.” (Proverbs 25:2)

You see scripture describe discovery not as a frustration to endure but as part of our growth.

Sometimes God conceals things, not to keep them from us, but to invite us deeper. Perhaps the search itself is part of our coronation process as we see in proverbs. As we learn to seek God's wisdom rather than demand immediate answers, He is shaping us to think, discern, and reign with Him.

He calls us to seek. To ask.

To linger. To trust.

Mary didn’t immediately understand the angel’s message.

Joseph didn’t immediately understand his dreams.

Even the disciples often understood Jesus’ words only in hindsight.

Perhaps God isn't withholding clarity but building maturity and your kingship through the search.

You might be carrying something today that doesn’t quite make sense.

A promise.

An idea.

A stirring.

A question you wish God would answer more quickly.

Can I encourage you?

Don’t mistake incomplete understanding for God’s absence.

Sometimes He is simply inviting you into the beautiful process of discovering Him more deeply.

Reflection

What is one area of your life where God may be inviting you to seek rather than simply receive the answer?

How might your search itself be part of what He is producing in you?

Pause to ask what has my life been teaching this week.

Before I go…

As Reframe Her Worth celebrates its first anniversary this week, may I ask one small favour?

If this podcast has encouraged you—even through just one episode—would you help another woman discover it?

You can do that in three simple ways:

⭐ Leave a Spotify rating (if you haven't already).

✍🏽 Leave an Apple Podcasts review (if you haven't already. If you use an Android phone, you can download iTunes on your laptop and leave a review there.)

📱 Share the anniversary series or your favourite episode with a friend who may need it, or on your social media. And if you're able, encourage them to leave a rating or review too.

One recommendation could become another woman’s answered prayer.

Thank you for walking this journey with me. Whether you’ve been here since Episode 1 or joined along the way, I am deeply grateful.
