The Everlasting Centimetres of God

23 February 2026
Scripture in this reflectionEphesians 3:17–19

It’s so lovely to catch up with you again. I hope your week has been good. For those of you here in England, it was a bit of a rest week away from the pressure of school runs (if you managed a rest).

How did the last seven days go?

Were you able to stay away from your screen until at least one hour before you picked it up in the morning so that you have time to be quiet?

Did you practice stillness? Did you practice laying down those burdens at His feet?

If you did, how did it go? I would love to hear from you.

The truth of the matter is, when you really understand the depth of the love of the Father, everything shifts.

I was having a discussion with my boys yesterday evening during our family time. First of all, the discussion was about what animal would you like to be if you could be any animal in the world?

Then I asked, in terms of height, how many centimetres do you think the love of God is?

My son said, “Everlasting centimetres.”

I asked, “How deep is the love of God?” He said, “Everlasting centimetres.”

“How wide is the love of God?” Again, “Everlasting centimetres.”

That really got me to think.

It is in His presence, when we have a true revelation of the depth of His love for us, the depth of His affection for us, how He sees us, that we stop struggling with identity crisis. We stop worrying about what people say about us. What does she think about us.

We are just rooted and grounded.

(You can read Ephesians 3:17–19 alongside this reflection — it speaks so beautifully about being rooted and grounded in love.)

Some of these practices we are talking about are ways that help us to remind ourselves who God says we are and how He truly sees us, how wide the everlasting centimetres of the love of God is. Because if we are bathed in that, then we would not fall short in terms of being confident in who God says we are, and we would not shrink back in doing what He has asked us to do.

This week, we are talking about evening practices.

For me, one of the things I would like you to try this week is surrounding yourself with the Word of God. Let your subconscious be so surrounded with His Word. Play the Word as you sleep. Play it softly, and let it sink into your heart as you sleep.

The evenings when I have done this, I remember waking up feeling more peaceful, joyful, and thankful.

Try that this week. And tell me how it changed your morning mood, how it changed the type of dreams that you dream.

I would also want to know some of your evening practices that I can adopt as well. Please reply to this email and tell me what you do that helps you abide in the evening?

I would like to leave you with this: God loves you so much. He made you because He loves you. He made you because He has a plan. There is a blueprint for your life. Nothing He made was without a purpose.

He did not make you so that you could test run life. He does not want to leave you in guesswork. Everything that we need comes in the place of remaining connected.

Just like a branch of a tree, if it is disconnected from the main trunk, will not bear any fruit, in the same way we will not be able to fulfil our purpose outside of the One that made us.

So this week, remain connected. Remain rooted.

God bless you.

Thank you for walking this journey with me.

Bonus Free Resource for You 🤍

I’ve created a gentle free reflection tool called The Abiding Audit Tool to help you pause and examine whether you’re abiding daily or simply visiting when it’s convenient.

It’s not to act as a judge but a mirror to help you notice where you’re rooted and where God might be inviting you deeper.

Keep walking.

Keep believing.

Keep becoming the woman God already sees.

Yours in walking and becoming,❤️
