How You Start Determines How You Stand
A lovely new week to you.🌸
We’re still abiding in the secret place of the Most High, under His shadow. What a powerful way to live.
As we said last week, the charger was plugged in… but nothing was charging.
The socket was on. The cable was connected. But there was no power flowing.
Sometimes that’s how our mornings are.
We’re awake. We’re moving. But we’re not truly connected.
Mornings are not random.
They’re not just something to get through. And surely it isn't just another moment you drag yourself out of bed and begin the rush.
Mornings invite us to become still. For our hearts remember where our source is.
Your morning sets:
The emotional temperature of your day The direction of your thoughts Your spiritual posture So where does your morning begin?
With your phone and reels? With your to-do list? With pressure and deadlines? Or with your Maker and His love for you?
This week, my invitation is simple:
Let your mornings become a time of alignment.
A time of peace. Stillness. Not chaos and frustration.
7 Days Reset
Over the next seven days, I’d love for you to try this:
1. Write Three Specific Thanksgivings
Not just: “Thank you, God, for waking me up.”
Go into the tiny details.
When you are specific in your thanksgiving, it trains your heart to be thankful for the process, not just the outcome.
2. No phone for the first hour.
If that feels drastic, start with 30 minutes.
Let your eyes feast on His word before the reels.
3. Pray Specifically
Pray over:
Your walk with Him Your marriage Your career Your children Your family You can add what you want to this list And lay the anxiety down. Just say: “I lay this at Your feet.”
4. Journal Your Intention
Ask yourself: How will I honour God today?
Write it down.
And reflect on what you see yourself accomplishing with His help by the end of the week.
God is in your day. Put your day in God by starting it in Him.
Your morning is about getting aligned
Have a beautiful week under His shadow. 🌿
Thank you for walking this journey with me.
Bonus Free Resource for You 🤍
I’ve created a gentle reflection tool called The Abiding Audit Tool to help you pause and examine whether you’re abiding daily or simply visiting when it’s convenient.
It’s not to act as a judge but a mirror to help you notice where you’re rooted and where God might be inviting you deeper.
Keep walking.
Keep believing.
Keep becoming the woman God already sees.
Yours in walking and becoming,❤️
